Iso 9000 Internal Audit Checklist
The Basics of Quality Auditing by Ronald Blank, Any organization embarking on an ISO 9000, ISO 14000, or QS-9000 initiative will need an internal auditing system. The Basics of Quality Auditing provides an inexpensive and easy-to-follow WHO, WHAT, WHERE, WHEN, WHY, and HOW format that is perfect for training. It discusses the four main questions all audits should answer: Is there a procedure? Is the procedures being followed? Does the procedure meet the needs of the system? And what must be changed or improved to increase output quality? After explaining the audit process, the book illustrates how audit programs are currently being used and how they have evolved beyond the standard uses of policing actions or procuring information about a supplier to becoming a continuous improvement tool. The appendix provides sample audit forms and checklists from which auditors can model their own.
ISO 9000 - The widely accepted ISO 9000 series of standards specifies requirements for a Quality Management System. Internal audit - An internal audit is an independent, objective assurance and consulting activity designed to add value and improve an organization's operations. It helps an organization accomplish its objectives by bringing a systematic, disciplined approach to evaluate and improve the effectiveness of risk management, control, and governance processes. Internal audit staff - The internal auditors review the IT plans, management's policies and procedures and strategies to help determine if management has adequate controls in place. The auditors are then able to identify IT control weaknesses and make recommendations to management. ISO 17025 - ISO 17025, "General requirements for the competence of testing and calibration laboratories" has been described as "ISO 9000 with knobs on". Predating the relaunch of the revised ISO 9000:2000 series, it takes quality management systems a stage further by looking at the competence of the laboratory as well as the fitness for purpose of the quality management system.
